Elder companions are ideal for those who spend much of their time alone and require some assistance with basic daily tasks.
Family members can work or go out while their loved one has company and some supervision. Companion care also provides valuable social benefits such as decreased isolation and improved quality of life.
A great relationship bond often forms between a companion and their charge.
Our live-in and hourly caregivers are available to assist in private homes, independent living and assisted living facilities.
In addition to physical companionship our companions provide a variety of caregiver services including, but not limited to:
- Entertainment – playing games, reading, puzzles
- Scrapbooking and crafts
- Share meal with or without light preparation
- Arrange activities and keep track of charge’s calendar of appointments and events
- Monitor diet
